In Home Training and Private Lessons
Go right to the source of the problem!
In-Home Training allows Mike and Brenda Saling to
observe, firsthand, the situations in your home that are producing
behavioral problems in your dog. Dogs behave differently outside their home
environment, so In-Home Training provides the Salings with a more accurate
picture of your dog's personality and training needs. You and your dog will
learn basic obedience skills in behavior problem solving taught in the
convenience of your own home. The cost of In Home Training begins at $675
for six weeks of training. Please email or call us for an estimate based on

Private Lessons are available at our school, for dogs with issues, special needs or for owners who want more individual attention. The cost of Private Lessons begins at $375 for six weeks of training. A one time lesson is $85.00. Please email or call us for an estimate based on your individual needs.
Obedience and Agility in Small Group Classes
Mike and Brenda will teach dog owners how dogs learn.
S.O.S. offers group classes for dogs 7 weeks old and up, held at our school in Brandon, Florida. These indoor/outdoor classes teach the skills for proper heel, sit, down, stay and come commands which every companion dog should know. Our classes offer a healthy socializing environment for your dog. Also, meeting other dog owners with similar problems and goals works like group therapy and adds an element of fun and friendly competition. The cost of all group classes is $175.
Class Descriptions
Puppy Headstart/Basic Obedience
S.O.S. specializes in training you and your puppy before problem behaviors develop. During the most impressionable period of life, 7 to 16 weeks, you will teach them simple commands and acceptable behavior. Our training helps dog owners deal appropriately with housetraining, chewing, jumping, puppy biting and much more!
The AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy is an exciting new program designed to get dog owners and their puppies off to a good start. The AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Program is an incentive program for loving dog owners who have taken the time to take their puppies through a basic training class.
When you complete a basic training class taught by Mr. or Mrs. Saling, your puppy will be eligible to be enrolled in the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Program. You'll get all sorts of neat stuff including:

- a listing in the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy records
- a beautiful, frameable certificate
- an AKC Puppy Handbook

Canine Good Citizen
As qualified therapy evaluators, the Salings will help you train your dog to pass the Canine Good Citizenship test and possibly earn a therapy title. Join the S.O.S. Therapy Team and experience the satisfaction of volunteering your time to visit nursing homes, shelters, and hospitals. Seeing your dog light up a life is an unparalleled experience!
Agility
S.O.S. offers Agility classes that enable you and your dog to have fun, get in shape and, if you wish, work towards a title. Dogs and their owners work as a team to negotiate a course that features a variety of obstacles including jumps, tunnels, teeter-totters, A-frames, and more! Experience the fun!
Advanced Obedience
If you catch the training bug, S.O.S. expert trainers are highly qualified to instruct you in advanced obedience training. These indoor/outdoor classes build on the skills learned in the Basic Obedience class including advanced heeling, recalls, finishes, down stays and hand signals. With a multitude of ribbons, titles, and trophies behind them, S.O.S. can prepare you for the rewarding experience of showing your dog and winning!
